Müllerthal, Larochette & Echternach
The Müllerthal is especially known for its splendid forests, sandstone rocks and its medieval castles in Larochette and Beaufort. Enjoy its nature during a walk, mountainbiking, climbing or maybe during a guided visit of the castles.
Echternach is the region’s capital with a number of shops, cafés and restaurants. The main attractions of this border town along the Sûre are the Benedictine
abbey founded by St. Willibrord in the 7th century and 15th century Rococo pavillion on the market square. The international festival of classical music from mid-May to early July, the unique dancing procession on Whit-Tuesday, the Ballooning Trophy and the E-lake Music festival in august around the lake make Echternach one of the most popular destinations in Luxembourg.
